Instruments included
43 wavetables and 444 sample instruments ship with Pro, so it makes sound the moment it opens. You never have to supply a folder first — though it still scatters yours when you do.
Pathfinder Pro turns a folder of samples into a living field of spheres. Draw a path through them and the path becomes the performance. Pro adds three synthesis engines, 43 wavetables, 444 sample instruments, a six-slot effects rack and 487 factory presets — and it drags finished audio straight into your DAW.
The real 1.1.5 interface. Every screenshot on this page is captured from the running plug-in.
Free Pathfinder scatters your samples and lets you draw them. Pro turns that into a finished instrument: sounds of its own, a way out to your DAW, and a button that writes the first idea for you.
43 wavetables and 444 sample instruments ship with Pro, so it makes sound the moment it opens. You never have to supply a folder first — though it still scatters yours when you do.
Drag any sphere, path or rendered take out of the plug-in window and drop it into your arrangement as audio. No bounce, no export dialog, no temporary folder to find later.
One click rolls a new field, a new path, a new instrument, a new effect chain, or all of it. It is the fastest way past a blank session, and every roll stays editable.
Six effect slots you can fill and reorder: reverb, waveshaper, flair, delay, granular and drive. Each opens into its own controls, and the whole rack is part of the preset.
One preset for every wavetable and every sample map, sorted by instrument type in a browser built to be played through rather than filed. Your own presets sit beside them and survive updates.
Pathfinder Sketch turns a phone into a second pair of hands: draw on the glass, hear it in the DAW. Up to four players share one instrument.
Pro arrives with its own instruments, so it plays immediately. Point it at a folder of one-shots and those scatter into the field too, sorted by what they are: kicks, snares, hats, percussion, melodic, texture, vocal, effects.
Moving over a sphere previews it. Clicking selects it and draws its waveform, so you can find the sound you want by ear instead of by filename.
Sketch a line through the spheres and the line becomes an instrument. Hold a key and it walks the path in time with your project; the lasso grabs a whole cluster at once.
Pick an engine, set the envelope, add motion. Wavetable, waveform generator and sampler are all one click apart, and each keeps its own settings per layer.
Fill any of the six slots, reorder them, and open a slot to reach its own controls. The chain is saved with the preset and travels with the sound.
When it sounds right, drag it out of the window and drop it on a track. What lands in your DAW is audio you can cut, stretch and keep.
Pathfinder Pro holds four layers. Each one can run a different engine, so a wavetable pad, a generated bass and a sampled kit can share a single path.
43 tables ship with Pro. Sweep the table position by hand or hand it to an envelope, an LFO or velocity, and the waveform display redraws as it moves.
Two oscillators with classic shapes, hard sync, and a sixteen-band harmonic editor. Draw the harmonic series directly when you want a tone that no sample library has.
444 sample instruments are included, and your own folders load the same way. Loop it, reverse it, let it run as a one-shot, or track pitch across the keyboard.
Every slot takes any effect, and every effect opens into its own controls. Change the order and you change the sound — the rack is part of the preset, so a patch carries its chain with it.
Slots opening into their own controls, captured live from the plug-in.
Size, damping, width and pre-delay for space that sits behind the part rather than washing it out.
Independent left and right times, feedback and ping-pong, syncable to your project tempo.
Grain size, density and spread, for turning a single sphere into a cloud that keeps moving.
Drive, bias and tone — the weight that makes a sampled kit sit in a mix.
Shape and drive for harmonic colour, from a gentle lift to full destruction.
Rate, depth and feedback for motion across the stereo field.
The field sits on a backdrop you choose: eight studio gradients from steel to ember, any flat colour, or an image you drop in. Small thing, but you look at this window for hours.

The step sequencer runs six lanes of sixteen steps through the field while you keep drawing, with swing and per-lane pitch and probability. The macro page adds an XY motion pad and two LFOs, and links them to any control you like — so one gesture moves the whole patch. Both are saved in the preset.
Sketch is the companion app. Open it on a phone, scan the code the plug-in shows, and draw on glass while the sound comes out of your DAW. Up to four people can play the same instrument at once, each with their own layer, their own colour and their own kit.
The same field, on a touchscreen. Paths you draw on the phone play through the plug-in instantly.
Everyone gets a layer and a colour. Take turns, play together, or let the host conduct.
The plug-in shows a code. Point a camera at it and you are in — nothing to type, nothing to configure.
The field, at room scale. Step inside your samples, reach out and draw a path through spheres that hang in the air around you, and hear it play in your DAW. Built for Quest, joined with a six-character code the plug-in gives you — no cables, no local network to configure.
In active development. Pro owners get it at no extra cost.
Both routes get the whole instrument — every engine, every instrument, every preset, every update. The monthly plan simply spreads it out, and after twelve payments the licence is permanently yours.

Pathfinder Pro is a software instrument for music production, in VST3 and Audio Unit formats, for macOS and Windows. It arranges samples and included instruments as spheres in a three-dimensional field, and you play it by drawing a path through them. It includes 43 wavetables, 444 sample instruments, three synthesis engines, a six-slot effects rack and 487 factory presets.
Free Pathfinder scatters your own samples and lets you draw paths through them. Pro adds its own sound library of 43 wavetables and 444 instruments, three synthesis engines, the six-slot effects rack, 487 factory presets, one-click randomisation, and drag-and-drop export of audio into your DAW.
Yes. Drag a sphere, a path or a rendered take out of the plug-in window and drop it onto a track in your DAW, and it arrives as audio. There is no bounce step and no export dialog.
No. Pro ships with 444 sample instruments and 43 wavetables, so it makes sound as soon as it opens. You can still point it at any folder of your own one-shots, and it will sort them into the field automatically.
It generates a new starting point for you: a new field, a new path, a new instrument, a new effect chain, or all of them together. Everything it produces stays fully editable afterwards.
The monthly plan is $12.99 and renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account, and Pro stays unlocked until the end of the month you have already paid for. After twelve payments the licence becomes permanent and billing stops.
Five machines per licence. You sign in inside the plug-in with the email address from your order, and a link arrives by email — there is no serial number to keep.
Only occasionally. The plug-in checks in when it starts and every few hours after that, and it keeps working offline for seven days between check-ins.
Pathfinder Sketch is the companion app that turns a phone into a controller for the plug-in. You draw on the phone screen and the sound plays through Pathfinder in your DAW. Up to four people can play the same instrument at once, each on their own layer.
Pathfinder Sketch VR is in active development. It puts the sphere field at room scale on Quest headsets, joined with a six-character code the plug-in displays. It will be included with Pathfinder Pro at no extra cost.
Download, sign in with your order email, and the library arrives on its own. You will have a part in your session inside ten minutes.
